Fishing 8/12
After a slow couple of weeks fishing things have started to pick up again. Boaters are doing quite well in Emigrant Cove and the middle of the lake using Kastmasters, Flashers, Dodgers, Spinners and nightcrawlers. The Department of Fish & Game will be planting another truckload of rainbows this week. The most action we’ve seen in the past two weeks has been at Emigrant Cove with people getting nice rainbows and browns. Nightcrawlers & powerbait (pink, orange & sherbet) seem to be the ticket. El Dorado Irrigation District will be dropping the lake level approximately 2-1/2 feet until August 15th. The largest drop will be on 8/3 and 8/4 with the lake level going down 1-1/2 feet. *** August 8th – PERFECT DAY Click on picture to enlarge
8/2/10 Lake Level Update
El Dorado Irrigation District will be dropping the lake level approximately 2-1/2 feet over the course of the next two weeks (8/1-8/15/10). The largest drop will be on 8/3 & 8/4 with the lake level going down 1-1/2 feet. Not too worry, the lake is still very full for this time of year.
