Well! There really are big German Browns left in Caples Lake. Charlie Wilson caught this 10 pound 27 inch German Brown trolling/jigging from his kayak on a Gold Kastmaster with a bit of a crawler, down 25 feet off the Caples Lake Dam on september 5, 2010.
Fishing has picked up after the full moon and some last season hatches. Shore fishing has been good with crawlers and sherbert and chartreuse power bait with bobbers and on the bottom.
