The store / marina area includes the launch ramp and boat rental dock. The store is the heart of marina operations and has tackle, drinks, ice, sundries, various dry food items, snacks, ice cream and, of course, insect repellant.


 

All launching fees, boat rentals, day use fees and guest check–in (summer months) are handled at the store (click Marina Rates
or navigation button for rental fees).

Boat rentals consist of 12 and 14 foot aluminum fishing boats with 8 hp Honda outboard motors, canoes, single and double sit-in kayaks, tandem sit-on-top kayaks and paddle boats for the kids.

The Caples Lake Marina includes...
~ Marina hours: before mid June and after Labor Day: 8am to 6pm, mid June through Labor Day 7am to 7pm.
~ 10 mph lake speed limit. No waterskiing / wake boarding or personal watercraft allowed.
~ A public launch ramp for trailered boats with 4-stroke / emission approved motors, car top boats and kayaks. Launch fee includes day parking - NO OVERNIGHT PARKING.
~ A boat rental dock with 12’ and 14’ Gregor aluminum fishing boats with 8 HP Honda 4-stroke motors as well as canoes, kayaks, and paddle boats.
Use Permit
~ A store with fishing tackle, crawlers, beverages, ice, sundries, various dry food items, snacks, ice cream—and, of course, sun screen and insect repellant.
~ 15 minute docking for store use only; NO OVERNIGHT DOCKING AVAILABLE.
~ 20 buoys for overnight rental moorings.
~ A designated swimming—no fishing area.
~ $10 day-parking/use fee—NO OVERNIGHT PARKING.
~ Complimentary lodging guest launching and docking.
   
The marina is a non-smoking, no-pet area.
   
NOTE: A deep water launch and day use area is under contructed by EID and the USFS and will be commissioned in 2010. See our “amenities” link for more information.
